49 police recruits representing 17 different departments across Connecticut recently came together for a powerful and thought-provoking screening of the documentary Us vs. Them. The event created a unique space for reflection, bringing future law enforcement officers face-to-face with perspectives that challenge assumptions and encourage deeper understanding.

The documentary explores the divide that often exists between communities and the justice system, while highlighting the shared humanity that connects us all. For many in attendance, the experience went beyond simply watching a film, it opened the door to meaningful conversations about accountability, empathy, and the role of perspective in shaping real-world interactions.

Events like this are at the core of what the Connecticut Hall of Change stands for, creating opportunities for dialogue, bridging gaps, and encouraging growth on all sides. By bringing people together in a setting focused on learning and reflection, this gathering helped lay the foundation for stronger relationships and more informed leadership moving forward.
