Us vs. Them Receives Award of Distinction at the IndieFEST Film Awards

The conversation surrounding Us vs. Them continues to grow.
We are proud to announce that the documentary has been honored with an Award of Distinction by the IndieFEST Film Awards, an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement in independent filmmaking.
Created by Charlie Grady alongside Luke Williams and Alex Vishno, Us vs. Them explores the complex relationship between law enforcement, formerly incarcerated individuals, and the communities they serve. Rather than focusing on division, the documentary encourages honest dialogue, empathy, accountability, and understanding through the voices of people who have lived these experiences firsthand.
This recognition reflects the growing impact the film continues to have across the country. Since its premiere, Us vs. Them has been featured at universities, community organizations, and public discussions where audiences have come together to engage in meaningful conversations about trust, second chances, and restorative approaches to public safety.
At Connecticut Hall of Change, we believe real change begins with conversation. This award is not simply recognition for a film, it is recognition that these conversations matter and that communities are ready to move beyond "us versus them."
We are grateful to everyone who has supported the documentary, attended screenings, shared their experiences, and helped expand this important dialogue.
